I HAVE TWO BLOG POSTS TODAY! PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THEM BOTH! THANK YOU!
Hello creative and crafty friends! Welcome to Day Two of The Greetery Sweet and Sunny new release! Welcome - so glad to have you here today! Yesterday and today, the design team is sharing product reveals and projects made with all the new items from the Sweet and Sunny stamp/die/stencil release. All of the new products will be available for shopping tomorrow, Wednesday June 29th at 10am EST! Are you as excited as I am? Squeeee! I have three more cards to share with you today - so let's get started!
First up is a card featuring the brand new Botanicuts Hollyhocks Dies....swoooooooon. My finished card is a 5.25" x 5.25" square card made from white cardstock. I used layers of woodgrain paper, white, gingham, kraft and yellow to create a bright and happy feeling.
I googled "hollyhocks" to see some flower photos and I quickly discovered that Hollyhocks come in almost every color! I chose a pretty, bright, magenta pink.... I popped it with bits of yellow and yellowish green tones. It is so cheerful in person! This side view shows all my paper layers...
I die cut out the Hollyhocks dies from three shades of pink cardstock. I added accents with Copic Markers before gluing all the pieces together. You die set will come with a guide for putting them together - and it was very easy. Tip: I always cut out these kinds of dies from plain scratch paper and put them together first to feel comfortable with how it's all going to fit together.
The sentiment is from the Opposites Attract set and I stamped it in brown ink - and die cut it from the matching die.
I added a pretty bow up in the corner because I felt like I wanted to add a darker color on the card.
My second card for today features the brand new Jumbo Curiosity Die - Dragonfly! There is also a Jumbo Butterfly and a Jumbo Moth. These are amazing!! My finished card is an A2 white card base. My blue layer was made by ink blending Distress Inks to look like water in my Lotus garden....
There are some inspiration photos a bit farther down in my post... Basically I was inspired by a beautiful Lotus garden we have here in Sacramento! There are giant lily pads and pink lotus flowers...and tons of bright orange dragonflies! So I tried to create that feeling here.
The Dragonfly Die comes with matching stencils which is very cool. It's hard to see in the photo, but the dragonflies were stenciled with three shades of orange. Then I coated them with glitter as if they're glistening in the sun...
Have you guessed which Greetery stamps and dies I used to make the lily pads and flowers??? The lily pads are the Botanicuts Geraniums dies and the flowers are from the Lemon Blossom set!
Everything was attached to the card with foam tape for dimension. I added some clear embellishments to mimic the water....
There are so many beautiful ways to color these dragonflies, and so many color combinations! I can't wait to explore this some more with more projects. I have some ideas already!
Here are my inspiration photos!! (If you want to see more pictures you can read my blog post about the Lotus Bloom from last year! Here's the link!)
My final card for the new release features the brand new Leaves All Around Dies and Stencils. It makes the most gorgeous simple green frame... I know I'm going to use this one a lot. (I also used it on my Honey Jar card from yesterday!). My finished card is an A2 white card base covered in gingham paper. I added a simple vellum layer, then that pretty new die....
Here is a close up of the image. Simple flowers and leaves - so good for many styles of cards.
I stamped the sentiment using Stazon black ink directly onto the vellum layer underneath. This card is very clean and simple and flat for mailing... Also great for mass production!! I added a few sweet pearls.
I added a few small accents to the leaves using Copic Markers. The die cut cut out the stenciled image perfectly!
Okay friends! That's it for all my projects for the new release! What do you think? What is your favorite item?? I have thoroughly enjoyed showing you all the new goodies! Remember the new release is live for sale tomorrow - Wednesday, June 29th at 10am EST! I am so excited for you to create with these pretty supplies! I know they will bring you joy as they did me.

Your cards are wonderful and bright. My favorite is the Hollyhock card. I love seeing cards in different sizes rather than the almost always standard size.

Your hollyhocks are my favorite color. And your dragonfly is so gorgeous. I think that is a must have die. I'm still recovering from vacay, so I don't need to spend too much this time ....
