Howdy friends! Happy Friday and happy weekend! Whatcha up to this weekend?? We have some fun things planned but nothing crazy. Feels good to be out and about again doing things. The weather here has been nice and cold and foggy - my favorite. Feels like the holiday season! One more week until Thanksgiving time and then I'll switch the house over from Harvest to Christmas! It's a process, right?? Our church set up this humongous ice skating rink and it's so beautiful. Can't wait to go to church Sunday and see it all finished with happy skaters....
Today's card is a candy confection made with lovely supplies from Lawn Fawn! I do love me some Lawn Fawn!! I had some new supplies in my stash that I haven't used yet...and some old favorites.... I decided to make a cheerful little Gingerbread House! The finished card is an A2 white card base. I covered it with those pretty candy cane stripes (LF Paper) and white, and icy aqua....
I started by die cutting out alllllll the pieces! I used four different die sets for this one! After I cut them all out, I used Distress Inks to add some shading and depth. Then I gave everything a good dose of Rock Candy Glitter! I wanted it to look like everything was covered in yummy sugar! Like you could eat it! LOLZ. I kept the colors simple: Kraft, red and white with just a bit of green and pink. So pretty!!
My little gingerbread friend is popping out the front door to say hello!!
For the background I used the GORGEOUS new Stitched Snowflake Background Die!!!! OOOH LA LA LA LA LA!!!! FRESH!
I used Kraft paper for my house and inked it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, then some white pigment ink, then splatters!! Does it look like a cookie!? I put a tiny piece of vellum behind the top window. And a few little hearts.
I stamped the sentiment onto black banner with white embossing powder!
That's it for today! Have a blessed and happy weekend, everyone! See you Monday with a Doodlebug Project!! XOXO

Love the card Wanda, you always make them look so adorable and cute. Have a lovely weekend. Can't wait to the first of dec. when I will put the tree up. It is so dark and pretty dull here so it makes me feel better ☺ x

Super cute card, Wanda! I love all things gingerbread. Crafty things that is. I don’t actually care much for gingerbread cookies! Enjoy your weekend!

Such a darling house...it does look good enough to eat. I need to get some of that Rock Candy glitter. You are the second person today I've seen use it and I love that look... Making my lists this weekend! The weather is pretty today so I might go ahead and put up my lighted wreath on the garage! It's almost time...
