Hey everybody! Happy Friday! How was your week? This week went by fast (as always lately) and it was a great week! I celebrated my birthday this week and it was wonderful. On Wednesday (my actual birthday) I told my husband all I wanted was to go to the ocean.... And he planned a really nice day. On the way to the coast we stopped at the Korbel Champagne Cellars and I tasted some champagnes, and we picked up lunch at their wonderful deli... We headed over to the ocean and it was the perfect day! Sunny and warm, but not too warm and not too windy. I could not have asked for a nicer day. We ate a picnic lunch high on a bluff overlooking the waves and I soaked in some Vitamin Sea... Thursday we went to one of my favorite Vintage Markets and then out to dinner for a proper birthday celebration! For my presents, guess what I got?? Coffee and ink pads! LOLZ. Are there any more perfect gifts for me?? Hubs bought me the entire color palette of Pigment Ink Pads. I cannot wait to use them!!! So here I am rambling...let's get on with some cards, shall we?! Hope you have a great weekend!
Today's projects are made with stamps and dies from Spellbinders! They seriously have the coolest die sets of anyone! When I was a new stamper I used to buy ALLLLLL the Spellbinders nesting dies! Did you? I still have them all! For today, I have a fall/thanksgiving card and a winter/Christmas card!
How adorable is this scarecrow??? Gosh, I love it! The finished card is a white A2 card base. I layered some mini gingham and more white. I kept the layers simple because there's a lot going on here!
I die cut out all the pieces using both textured and smooth cardstocks. I added bits of Copic Coloring to shade everything. I really like this type of crafting - die cuts and ink blending/Copics. I also added white splatters and white gel pen accents. Since all these pieces are so small, I used my Sidekick on my desk instead of my big die cutting machine.
I combined three different die sets for this card - mixed and matched all the fall die sets! He's not a scary scarecrow at all!
These pumpkins!! They are the perfect shape and size....
The only stamping is on this cute label on the sign. Happy Harvest!
All the wonderful Fall things in one card: Apples, pumpkins, corn, sunflowers.....
Next up is a cutie patootie gnome wishing you a MERRY Christmas! I love gnomes! This guy is called the Dancin' Gnome! He's cheerful and happy and full of good winter wishes!! The finished card is an A2 card base that I covered in stripes. The background is a GORGEOUS die from SSS (supplies are linked at the bottom of my post)... No stamping here - just die cuttin'!
I just love red, green and aqua! And, pops of glitter and silver cardstock.... One little pom pom for his hat! I shaded all the die cut pieces by using a small sponge dauber and Distress Inks.
Here's a close up of that background cover die.... I layered aqua underneath crisp snowy white...
This die set actually has two pieces: Merry and Christmas! I used just the merry and layered red and silver together.
He has supah cute silver elf shoes! LOLZ! And striped tights!!
I attached everything onto the card using foam tape for dimension and interest. I would like to hang out in this snowy wonderland! I'm picturing him in the Alps, right??
So that's it for today! November always has a mix of holidays: Fall, Winter, Christmas, Thanksgiving...and it's all good! Thanks for stopping by today to see me. Sending love and hugs from my craft room to yours. I'll see you soon! XOXO

Your cards are beautiful, colorful and happy. I too have many Spellbinders nesting dies and I use them all the time. I really like both the A2 and A7 nesting card dies A & B. They leave the perfect narrow frame. Happy Birthday.

These are so cute Wanda! I especially like the fall scene.
I don’t remember seeing any of these dies on the Spellbinders site; I’ll have to check it out (again)!
