Hi everyone!!! It's me again!!! I have had so many fun things to share with you lately! And, today, more fun things to share! Yay! Today is the last day of August and tomorrow officially (in my mind) starts my favorite season - Fall!! Or, Sweater Season! I know I'm hopeful because we're still having hot weather, but a girl can dream of sweaters and boots and hot coffees and fall leaves, right?! I'm so very very excited to be the guest designer today over on the Pigment Craft Co Blog. I was very blessed by the Pigment team to receive their new Fall product release. Everything is so classy and creative and gorgeous. I am obsessed with their aesthetic and creativity. I can't say enough good things!
Today for the Pigment Blog (and here) I made a cute sweater card and a sweater garland to share with you. I used the Sweater Season Stamp Set, The Sweater Weather Stamp Set, The Fall Wreath Stamp Set, and the beautiful Latte Heart Background Die. Let's get started!
I used cream cardstock for all the elements of my projects today. Using cream instead of bright white cardstock makes everything just a bit warmer I feel. Also, I used a color palette totally out of my norm.... I have been seeing lots of projects with retro colors lately and wanted to give that a try!! Know what? I love it!! Here is the card....
And here is the garland!
This finished card is an A2 card base made from cream cardstock. I used the Latte Heart Background die in cream also. I mounted the background die over woodgrain cardstock for a textured look. Here's a close up of the background and also the small leaf clusters. The leaves are from the Fall Wreath Stamp Set. I started this card and garland by getting out my MISTI and stamping a ton of cute sweaters in all different color combinations. I also stamped the leaves. I die cut out everything with the matching dies....
I used two sweaters for the card and five sweaters for the garland. For the card I added buttons and twine for little pops of texture. I LOOOOOVE this sentiment!!! I stamped it in dark brown ink and die cut it with the matching die.
The Sweater Weather dies include two texture only dies - here is a close up of one of them...the detail is incredible.
Everything was attached to the card using foam tape to pop up off the background. I can't wait to make some Christmas sweaters next!!!
For the garland I started with brown Chunky Twine.... I used five sweaters and four leaf clusters to make the garland. The sweaters are attached to the twine using little clips from my crafty stash. For the leaf clusters, I glued them onto the twine using clear glue.
It's already hanging up in the dining room!!!
I wrapped twine around the tops of the leaf clusters and tied a pretty bow.
This pink sweater uses the other textured piece from the die set - love it.
I feel like the color combinations and possibilities are ENDLESS!!!!
Yeah! I was SO glad to share this with you! One of my favorite projects all year for sure. CLICK HERE to shop the Pigment Craft Co shop. They are a small, woman owned business, and I want to show her so much love and support as she grows her company.
