Happy Friday! Feature Friday, that is! For Concord & 9th! I'm excited to once again be a guest designer for Concord & 9th as they celebrate their new release for December 2020. I hope you saw my post on Wednesday and that adorable Handbag Die! I'm back today to share more photos and ideas for that handbag die and also share a card made with the Bright Eyes Bundle stamps and dies. I'll be posting each Friday this month for C9. Don't you love their fun products?
How is your December going? Are you still shopping? Crafting? Today is my husband's birthday so we have that going on too! The last part of the year is always busy. I kind of miss all of our traditional activities but we're managing to have some fun anyway. Hope you are doing great. Now let's look at some projects!
First up is this fabulous leopard print Weekender Handbag! It's totally cute! Perfect for gift cards, candies, party favors, treat boxes, decorations...so so many ideas for this one! It comes with adorable accessories and also has a matching stamp set. No limit to what you can dream up for your purses!! I made a classic leopard print bag with gold and black accents. I would really love to have a bag like this!! (I adore animal print things!)
How cute is that lock and key?? Seriously.
Here's the top down view! So easy to make, too. Everything is well thought out, and the dies cut like a dream. You cut two pieces and glue them together for the main body of the bag. Then two straps. There are two side pieces too that glue on to make it more sturdy. Then you decorate!!! The other designers for this project have made some really great samples!!!
I don't have a leopard print stamp so I started brainstorming how I could make my own!!! I found this small detail stamp from the Talk Type stamp set!! I used kraft cardstock, then stamped the design in black ink.... Then I used my favorite gold paint palette and a small brush to paint over the black!! I really think it looks like leopard! What do you think?? This pic below was my sample test one...
Whenever I make these 3D projects, I like to show it to you in my hand for scale! This is a generous size so it can hold lots of treasures!! (CLICK HERE to see the other fun Purse die from Concord & 9th that launched earlier this year!)
Next up is this bright and crazy card inspired by the 70's and my favorite Vuarnet sunglasses! Lolz. I used the brand new Bright Eyes bundle of stamps and dies to make this card. The sunglasses also fit onto the edge of that cool handbag!!! The finished card is an A2 card base in white. I layered Peacock cardstock and then made some cool stripes for my background.
The striped background was made using five colors of gorgeous Concord & 9th cardstock!! Then I mounted a frame of white die cut with a circle opening. The sunglasses are made with mirrored cardstock! SO fun, right? And the sentiment is PERFECT!
Here are all my beautiful strips!! Peacock, Oceanside, Aqua Sky, Marmalade and Buttercup.... YUMMMMMM.
I used my tape runner and affixed all the strips onto a piece of white cardstock at an angle. Then I trimmed the edges off with my paper trimmer. Isn't this cool?? I haven't done this technique in a while and I forgot how much I like it.
Okay, friends, that's it for this edition of Feature Friday! Did you get any goodies from the new release? I hope I've inspired you to get your craft on!! I'll be back next Friday with more projects made with the new products. Take care, and as always, thanks for popping by today! XOXO

Boy the size of this one is great! Loads of goodies will fit in here. That leopard print you did is so innovative. Love when you can get something you think of by using another stamp. Great look for sure! All you designer girls have made such fun projects. I wonder if it's too late to put this one on my Santa list???

Speechless and in awe of your creativity.... love how you took it up a notch by creating leopard print. Also your unique use of the colored strips of paper was terrific. Great showcase of the new products.
