I will draw the winner on Thursday, January 4th and notify you via email. What projects are you going to work on in 2018? Maybe a new technique? New style? Favorite new supplies? I want to know!!
This is the prize package for my stop on the hop! Wooohoooo!
And, since it's New Year's I want to share a project with you! I made a super fun snowman New Year card! I bought this awesome stamp set (So Many Snowmen) for making Christmas cards, but it never got inked. Well...I thought... Let's make those cute snow people into a winter New Year card! They look just like the crowd at Times Square! LOL. I colored them with Copic Markers and created a pretty Distress Ink snowy background for them! All the supplies are linked below in this post.
This is an A2 sized card. The snowmen stamp is wider than an A2 so I trimmed it to fit onto the front of this card. Also, the stamp has some Christmas specific images in it that I wanted to crop out for this occasion. I colored the snowmen in with Copic Markers. I added top hats to the snow peeps on the top row using the extra little stamp that comes in the set. The numbers were die cut from sparkly silver cardstock for an icy look! The Happy New Year sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with white powder. The background was made using my two fav colors of Distress Inks! Then I splattered some Copic Opaque White for snow! I love how it came out!
See that one little snowman that is popped up with some foam tape in the middle? Well, he's covering up some holly leaves on the other guys' hat!!! My husband thought of that idea! LOL. He's a good crafty husband!
See the holly? That's where the other snowman face went!
I mounted the snowmen to the card using foam tape. I also used foam tape for the numbers and the sentiment. Just makes everything pop a bit! I added a few sparkly gems and bits of Wink Of Stella to make it pretty!
Thank you for coming by! HAPPPPPYYYYYY NEWWWWWW YEAR! We are going to have lots of fun creating together in 2018 I just know it! I wish you and your family a blessed, happy, healthy, and successful new year! Love ya! XOXO

SUPPLIES FOR TODAY'S CARD!

Happy new year such a beautiful card. My New Year's resolution could be to color as pretty as you do but I don't think that's going to happen. So my New Year's resolution is to be able to spend more time making cards so I can send cards

Thanks for the opportunity to win and a Happy New Year to everyone!!! Adorable card!!! My crafty goal for 2018 is to learn to make interactive cards! I've just received my first Big Shot so I want to improve my skill to make projects with different materials like felt.

Happy New Year. I am pretty new to card making and I would like to get much better. I love the use of color but have not been too successful with my coloring so far. It seems I sit down to do what seems like a simple card and I make a mess of it...here's hoping I get better in 2018.

I love this snowman card!
In 2018, I want to make more cards that I can give out to non-female and non-kid friends.

My craft goals for 2018 are: 1. try to be more organized in my craft room 2. work on my coloring techniques 3. send out the cards I make rather than hang onto them as a sample for future cards (since I rarely copy a card a second time anyway).

Fantastic card - I love those snowmen! My crafty goal for this year is to make more time to craft! I don't have anything specific except for lots of birthday cards, some scrapbook pages from my trips, and some knitting and cross stitching for my niece and nephew.

This is a particularly apt card given the crazy weather most of North America has had this week! My crafty resolution is to be more timely about sending out cards and crafting every day to make sure that I have the cards to send! Thank you for your generosity in participating in this hop; I hope you have a lovely new year.

My 2018 crafty resolution is to 1) just play and have fun practicing new techniques (alcohol inks, embossing paste, coloring); 2) use the mountain of products that I've bought but not used; and 3) learn to take better pictures and actually post them to my IG feed.
I love seeing what all of my crafty idols have made (I admired your work for years in card making magazines back before there was internet), then I go load up my shopping carts, and never create.

My crafty resolution for this year is to begin stamping and cardmaking. I've ordered what I feel are my necessities,i.e. Big Shot, various papers, embossing gun, stamps, powders, stamp blocks, etc...i feel like it's a lot but I know it's only enough to get me started! I thought my handlettering resolution/success from last year cost me quite a bit. However, I'm realizing it's nowhere near as much as this new hobby will. Lol
Thank you for participating in the Blog Hop and putting together a DREAM prize! May you have a healthy and happy 2018!
Posted by: JEWELZB | 01/02/2018 at 02:03 PM
My goal is organization! Beyond that I want to get better with my coloring, particularly water colors. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous projects.

Happy New Year Wanda! I love this card! Every time I see them on a card, I say "I have to get that stamp set". I think it's about time I did--I would love to play with them and see what kind of scene I can come up with. Thanks for sharing and keeping me inspired. :)

My resolution is just to try to do more crafting! I think I've fallen into the trap of buying more than I use... so I want to try to actually use it this year! (Although I'm sure I'll still do plenty of shopping... ;) )
