Hi crafty friends! The BIG FUN continues today with our awesome STAMPtember Blog Hop! SO very happy to have you here today with us! It's only day three of the festivities and already there is so much happening. We are really having entirely too much fun! There are loads of new exclusive Simon Says Stamp products that were released on the 1st, and then there will be new limited edition collaboration stamps and dies ALL MONTH LONG! Be sure to check back often. Today's hop is showcasing all the new SSS items. Grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy! The link list is at the bottom of my post - so you can click through. OR start at the Simon Says Stamp Blog. Again, thanks for joining me here on my blog - it's a pleasure to see you! I'd love to hear what you think of Stamptember 2016 so far!!
I have three projects to share today. Two cards and one more felt plush project. YAY! Too see more of my STAMPtember projects, click on back to my last two blog posts. I have made a sample from all the felt plush dies and tons of other cards.
First up for the blog hop is a cute Fall Fox! He is all decked out and ready to party! Seriously the cutest thing ever! I made him in a bright vivid orange to make him extra fun. I added a turquoise bow from one of the past felt dies. He is currently sitting on my studio desk with some other Fall decorations...and he fits right in. Squeeeee.
I used Doodlebug enamel dots for his shiny black eyes, and a touch of pink ink for his cheeks! His ears are also a soft pink felt. The die cut has holes for your stitching and it is just so easy to get a nice perfect stitch every time.
My first card for today was made with the new SSS Exclusive Secret Garden stamp set! It has a gnome and a fairy, and an adorable mushroom house! I personally just loved this cute snail... Maybe because I love to send snail mail! I stamped and die cut all my pieces and colored them with Copic Markers. I used a garden-y color palette of brown, red, yellow and green. A pretty piece of red and white twine finished off the front of the card.
Each of the elements is popped off the page with foam squares. I used the SSS Stitched dies: Rectangles, circles, and slopes to make a little scene for the cute snail.
I adore this sentiment! And it is in a slight curve, so it's perfect inside a circle die!
Lastly for today's post.... A truly Fall card! We live near Napa and one of the most beautiful sights in the world is the gorgeous grape leaves in Autumn. My husband and I love to photograph them and enjoy the season and the harvest. That is what inspired this card! I tried to color the grape leaves exactly how they would really look. I used my Zig Watercolor Brush Markers and had fun with it. After I colored my focal image I went back with a paint brush and added paint splatters in brown.
You can see the new You Matter big background stamp in the background here. LOVE that. I know I will use it a lot!! The color palette of purple, olive, orange and gold is truly one of my favorite color combinations ever. (I'm a Fall person) The new Autumn Greetings word die is gorgeous. I die cut it out of rich brown paper and used a glue pen to attach it to my card.
To put the card together I first mounted my paper that had the text on it directly to my olive card base. Then I layered the watercolor paper over it using foam tape. Then I mounted the grapes image over the text (again with foam tape).
Thank you so so so much for coming by my blog today. This is such a great hop - I look forward to it every year! Such a blessing to be a part of it all. Best wishes for an amazing weekend. Have fun! XOXO
