Hi there! This week is going to be FULL of good things! So much is happening around here and I'm going to be posting A LOT over the next week or two! I can finally share all the fun stuff I've been working on. Yay! One thing I really look forward to each month is the launch of the newest Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. Every month, on the 14th, there is a fabulous new kit to share. This month the kit has a gorgeous stamp set and patterned papers from Pink Fresh in really pretty, soft colors. You get four ink cubes and a water brush too! Awesome. I made two cards with the kit and will share both of them today. You can always find more Card Kit inspiration in the Gallery on the SSS Blog too (LINK HERE)! I put supply links at the bottom for shopping. You can buy the kit three ways.... As a subscription that automatically ships the new kit every month, month to month, or you can just buy the stamp set. Everyone is happy!!
For this first card I used one of my favorite stamping techniques! White embossing on watercolor paper. This look never gets old, and I really enjoy coloring and painting in this way. In the kit, you will receive two sheets of watercolor paper, and that is what I used for my top layer. The sentiments in this set are so nice too. So scripty and pretty.
I used the new Simon Says Stamp Clear Ink and White Embossing powder to randomly stamp flowers and leaves all over my watercolor panel. I used Distress Inks and the water brush to paint inside the embossed areas. At the end I speckled some Black Soot ink and added some Clear Droplets. The sentiment was stamped on a vellum panel to add visual interest. I wrapped the vellum around the entire card. On the inside I adhered a white panel to finish it off.
For this next card I used the ink cubes from the kit to stamp a pretty floral cluster as my focal point. I used some of the patterned papers as my bottom layer and also as a band across the card. This adds just that extra bit of color! I hand cut the yellow flower and attached it with foam squares for dimension.
It is sometimes fun and interesting to stamp leaves in a different color. These are stamped in slate ink and it makes the card super classy I think. I like how this came out - love the tones of color together. And yellow and grey is always pretty!
Thank you for popping in for a visit today! I hope you like this new card kit as much as I do! Here's to a great week! I'll see you soon! XOXO
