Hi my friends. I'm still here - thought I would say hello today. I wasn't sure if I should post something or not, but then I figured I need to keep it real. You guys are like my crafty family - so much love and support you bring me all the time. My father passed away a few days ago and so I sort of checked out from life for a bit. Trying to process a million different emotions. Trying not to cry every ten minutes. I know a lot of you will understand. He was very sick for a long time, and he was a Christian, so I know that he is HOME and at peace.
The hubs took me out to dinner to get out of the house on Saturday night and we stopped on the way home at this lovely field of sunflowers not too far from where we live. I thought these pictures were scenes from heaven so they seemed right for today.
I hope all of you have a wonderful day and I'll be back with projects soon. XO
I have only today found your blog, from the TE hop (Aug 6)...how appropriate that I WOULD find it today, as I'm dealing with an unexpected wave of grief from the loss of my own father earlier this year. It's odd the things that trigger the emotions.
My heart goes out to you in your loss. But it is so very wonderful to know our dads ARE home and not hurting and truly at peace. Thank you for sharing your "real", because it touched my own at a most opportune time.

Sincere condolences from Central WI. Continue to talk to your Dad -- and when you feel a cool breeze on a hot summer day; or witness a monarch fluttering in the breeze or touching down upon a gorgeous bloom -- know that he is with you and letting you know he's doing all right . . .

So sorry about your Dad. It is never easy to say Goodbye. Not too long ago a friend of mine made the comment that we will have a lot more time in heaven with our loved ones than we ever had with them on earth. I thought that was not only an insightful thought but also a very comforting one. Take care.

I am sorry to hear about your Dad's passing, but the only comfort I had for a long while when my Dad died suddenly was that this was not the end, and I would be with him again in heaven. I am thankful you have that comfort... and cry all you want....losing a parent is really hard. Prayers for you!
