Greetings! How's it going this week? My week is going well, and tonight I'm getting a manicure and a haircut after work - which sounds just lovely if I do say so myself! Today I have a Spring card to share with you. I know I keep talking all about Spring....we are so lucky here in Northern California that it's a new season already. I keep hearing from you that everywhere else is definitely NOT Spring! Hang in there, it's coming! And, Easter is early this year too. Gotta start thinking about that. Anyhoo...I digressed...
I am a little (okay a lot) obsessed with the Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints stamps. I HAD to have all four sets of them! They've been sitting on my desk for a while, and every time I look at them, it makes me happy. Well, instead of just looking at them I finally inked one up! Today's card is made with the Blueprint Butterfly stamp. This card came out sort of funky and different for me. Hope you like it!
I was really trying to make this one flashy! I found some matching flowers in my stash and then put two different colors of glitter on them - a light blue and a lavender. Mmmmmm.
I started by making a background page by stamping the image in a light blue ink at an angle across my paper. It is a blueprint after all, right? Next I stamped the image in black three different times and cut out two of the butterflies to use as my dimension.
Here is my finished background panel...
I colored the underlying butterfly in solid light blue, and then colored the top butterfly and the extra one with lavender, citrusy green and light blue. And I added the two colors of glitter also!
Here is my Copic palette for this project...Spring!
Here's a photo of all four sets. Now wouldn't this make you happy? LOL. How many projects are gonna come out of these awesome stamps? Something for everything!
