Okay, now I am really excited to share my projects with you! This month's kit and stamp set ROCK! It's a different look for us at Taylored Expressions and it's wonderful! kind of shabby chic and vintage! I hope you like it too! My first card is a criss-cross card. I love this card design and I use it when I really want to show off lots of patterned papers. It's easy to make, but looks impressive when it's done!
This photo shows the part that you write on that goes inside the folded piece. I lstamped one of the images onto the cream card base in a light distress ink and then scalloped my bottom edge.
To make the card base, score an 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock in half the short direction and then cut it in half the long direction. Then, on your paper cutter, cut a triangle out of each piece so that they cross when you adhere the two pieces together!
Now the fun part! Putting on matching patterned papers. So great to mix and match patterns and this kit is perfect for it. I use the triangles left over from my cardstock to make a template for my layers.
Here it is all decorated with that beautiful typewriter image and some ribbon and roses...
Well...after I made that first card, I couldn't stop myself! I had to make more! I used the same soft color palette of peach and mint green and made two more thank you cards for some special ladies. I stamped on watercolor paper which makes it seem even more vintage-y. Look at the bottom of the cards...houndstooth! This was made with the brand new Impression Plate! LOVE it!
Here's the 4-1-1! Please check out the images below of the KI kit, the stamp set and the new impression plate! Paper, Ribbon, Flowers, pearls...oh my!
Here is the Linky List for today...spend some time with us looking at everyone else's great projects! SO much fun because the Baker's Dozen has teamed up with the Key Ingredients Team this week! YAY!

And the last two are gorgeous in their simplicity - love the idea of watercolor paper and only impressing the bottom half. Gorgeous work, as always!!!
