Hi kids! Sunday comes again and another weekend is over...dang...just when I was having fun too! Today was my latest installment of Copic Camp at my house. I had a fantastic and fun group of women today and we all had a blast laughing and coloring! Thank you, everyone, for coming and for making it such a great time. I can't wait to hear about and see all your creations!
I have a masculine birthday card to share today. Something I'm not great at - man cards. Most of my "stuff" is pretty and frilly and girly. If you're making a guy card, you can't use ribbon, glitter, blingy gems or flowers. Really...like what's the point!? JUST kidding. For masculine cards, a stamp set I come back to a lot is the Loads of Love truck from Stampin' Up.
One way to make your cards masculine is to use earthy colors like green and brown. And, of course, blue. Keep to simple fonts for your messages.
I colored the image with my Copic markers to match my paper choices. I used my blow pen in a light brown shade to make it sort of antique feeling. I sponged blue ink around the edges of my circle and my focal image. When coloring glass (in this case the windshield) I used BG000 to make it just slighty aqua. For the tires I used dark grey shades in the cool grey color family.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!
I dig the truck!
