My oh my...this week is going by too fast! There were so many cute and fun challenges I wanted to enter this week but time has gotten away from me and I don't think I will be able to get an entry ready for any of them. {sad face}. Stamping club was tonight and the rest of the week I've been getting things ready for my Copic class on Sunday.
I thought I would share some cards I made with my Cricut last week!! I have had my Cricut for a couple of years but I must admit I have been kind of intimidated by it. Nothing ever seemed to come out as my mind had imagined it. There are so many different layers and colors of papers...and shift, shadow, outline! So...I bought this cool book that had some neat ideas in it and set my mind to the task. I ended up making two cards that I really like, and in the process learned how to use my Cricut (use it, not master it!)
For both of the cards I used double sided paper. This paper has argyle on one side and dots on the other...doesn't get better than that! The phone dial and the cord are cut from a different sheet of paper as is the sentiment on the inside.
The card base for this card is the green paper. It make the background with one flower folding over the front. I made another flower 1/2 inch bigger in pink and then one flower 1/2 inch smaller in the pretty Basic Grey patterned paper. I added a square of white for the background.
I put two pretty matching buttons together with a piece of twine for my flower center. The buttons are from Basic Grey also. This card would be great for girlie invites...like a bridal shower or a birthday party.
Do you Cricut? I'd love to see what you make! Send me a link in the comments! Hope everyone is having a good week. Take care!
I love those shape cards...very nice! I don't have a Cricut because it would be another beast and can of worms for me! So, I hold off!
